Switch To Us
You have probably thought about switching banks many times. Maybe you moved, or maybe the current bank wasn't providing the level of service you wanted. Whatever the reason, you probably didn't switch because of the hassles involved in moving accounts. We understand. That's why Tennessee Bank & Trust has made the entire process hassle-free and easy as 1-2-3.
- Open a Tennessee Bank & Trust checking or savings account.
Stop by one of our banks and open a new account. We'll help you find the right account for your banking needs.
- Stop using your old account and begin using your Tennessee Bank & Trust account.
You can begin using your new account right away. Once your new account is in place, we suggest you stop using your old account. Leave enough funds in the old account to cover any outstanding checks or payments for at least one statement cycle. This will allow all your checks to clear and be processed.
- Move automatic payments and deposits, then close your old account.
We'll help you move any established electronic authorizations payments to your new Tennessee Bank & Trust account. Examples of electronic transactions include:
- Direct deposits (payrolls, Social Security checks, dividends, etc.)
- Automatic and recurring bill payments or withdrawals (utility bills, car payments, etc.)
We'll need your authorization to make the switch, as well as some information for a couple of forms.
Once all the outstanding items have cleared, simply close your old account. We'll even provide a form for you to do so, so you don't have to visit your old bank in person.
